RNA Sequencing of Primary Cutaneous and Breast-Implant Associated Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphomas Reveals Infrequent Fusion Transcripts and Upregulat…

2021

Simple Summary Cutaneous and breast implant-associated anaplastic large-cell lymphomas are usually localized neoplasms with an indolent clinical course compared to systemic ALCL. However comparative analyses of the molecular features of these two entities have not yet been reported. We performed targeted RNA sequencing, which revealed that fusion transcripts, although infrequent, might represent additional pathogenetic events in both diseases. We also found that these entities display upregulation of the PI3K/Akt pathway and show enrichment in genes of the neurotrophin signaling pathway. These findings advance our knowledge regarding the pathobiology of cALCL and BI-ALCL and point to additi…

P863Morphometric analysis of the dynamic changes of the interstitium after reperfused myocardial infarction

2019

Abstract Background The interstitial space is mainly composed by cells, fibers and gels of polysaccharides, which act as a compression buffer against the stress placed on the extracellular matrix (ECM). After myocardial infarction (MI), heart has to withstand higher mechanical stress due to injured cardiomyocytes. ECM composition notably influences the mechanical properties of the myocardium and participates in left ventricular remodeling. Purpose To characterize the myocardial ECM changes from ischemia onset until late phases after coronary reperfusion in a swine model of reperfused MI. Methods MI was induced in swine by transient 90-min coronary occlusion using angioplasty balloons. One c…

A strongly degenerate quasilinear elliptic equation

2005

Abstract We prove existence and uniqueness of entropy solutions for the quasilinear elliptic equation u - div a ( u , Du ) = v , where 0 ⩽ v ∈ L 1 ( R N ) ∩ L ∞ ( R N ) , a ( z , ξ ) = ∇ ξ f ( z , ξ ) , and f is a convex function of ξ with linear growth as ∥ ξ ∥ → ∞ , satisfying other additional assumptions. In particular, this class of equations includes the elliptic problems associated to a relativistic heat equation and a flux limited diffusion equation used in the theory of radiation hydrodynamics, respectively. In a second part of this work, using Crandall–Liggett's iteration scheme, this result will permit us to prove existence and uniqueness of entropy solutions for the corresponding…

Nortriptyline hydrochloride skin absorption: development of a transdermal patch.

2007

The influence of propylen glycol (PG), ethanol, and oleic acid (OA) on nortriptyline hydrochloride (NTH) penetration through human epidermis was studied in vitro at two different pH values (5.5 and 7.4). The influence of lactic acid and polysorbate 80 was studied for a pH of 5.5. Permeation studies through Heat Separated Epidermis, as well as the enhancing effect of the different vehicles, showed a pH dependency. A pH value of 5.5 in the donor solution decreases significantly the permeability coefficient (Kp) with respect to a pH value of 7.4 (0.011+/-0.004 x 10(-6) versus 0.36+/-0.04 x 10(-6)cm/s). The vehicles showed an increasing enhancement effect in the order: polysorbate 80>ethanol/PG…

Zur methodik der diffusionsmessungen in organischen Lösungsmitteln

1951

A diffusion cell of the draw-slide type is described, working without any grease. So neither solute nor organic liquid gets connection with lubricate and no transfer of grease from the draw-slide to the glass windows can occur. An example for the service-ability of the cell is given by diffusio…

Spectrophotometric determination of fluoride in fluoride-bearing minerals after decomposition by fusion with sodium hydroxide

1984

The decomposition of highly insoluble minerals (fluorspar and cryolite) by fusion with molten alkali-metal hydroxides is studied. The introduction of additives such as aluminium compounds or sodium peroxide to obtain total liberation of fluoride from calcium fluoride samples, is tested. The fusion is done in a silver crucible with a Bunsen burner. The cooled melt is easily soluble, giving solutions suitable for spectrophotometric fluoride determination by the Zr(IV)-fluoride-Erichrome Cyanine R method.

Pediatric Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma with Concomitant Involvement of Spine and Central Nervous System: A Case Report and Review of Literature

2021

Anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) is a histological subtype of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, largely characterized by anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) positivity, resulting from the chromosomal translocation t(2;5). We report a pediatric case of ALK-positive ALCL with primary concomitant involvement of bone and central nervous system (CNS); thereafter, a literature review about pediatric primary bone and primary CNS ALCL was conducted. According to the analyzed data, our case is unique because it is characterized by the contemporary involvement of the spine and CNS. During and after chemotherapy, our patient was monitored by detecting minimal residual disease (MRD) through the analysis of fusio…

Physicochemical stability of carfilzomib (Kyprolis®) containing solutions in glass vials, ready-to-administer plastic syringes and infusion bags over…

2017

Centralized aseptic preparation of ready-to-administer carfilzomib containing parenteral solutions in plastic syringes and polyolefine (PO) infusion bags needs profound knowledge about the physicochemical stability in order to determine the beyond-use-date of the preparations. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the physicochemical stability of carfilzomib solution marketed as Kyprolis® powder for solution for infusion. Reconstituted solutions and ready-to-administer preparations of Kyprolis® stored under refrigeration (2–8℃) or at room temperature (25℃) were analyzed at predetermined intervals over a maximum storage period of 28 days. Chemical stability of carfilzomib wa…
